Impunity, Lawlessness and investigation is the problem in Behalf of disappearances

The discussion begins with this story of a woman “ my family was watching TV in the evening of 31st Falglun 2060. Some local personnels came and took away my husband Dipak Bahadur Khadka, a person without any ideological man, a farmer. I waited day after day. I think when dogs bark in the evening my husband has arrived. A local newspaper published he was killed after 15 days. Local leadears when I enquired gave sarcastic words ‘your husband is already dead’
The discussion began with this pathetic representative voice of the woman Laxmi Khadka.
The speakers in the discussion organized by OHCHR emphasized the government has to draft the law to make enforced disappearances criminal activity as obeying the order given by supreme court in Jestha 2064 as well as impunity must be stopped. Impunity is the root cause of the ongoing disappearencs. Enforced disappearances must be stopped at once, investigation of disappearances should be instantly started by establishing a truth and reconciliation mission, and provide compensation to the families of disappearances are much emphasized.
